1/23/2024 0 Comments Winzip 14.5![]() If the problem is showing on HD and/or AURA too, is this a new problem (KSM 06), or was it always there? Now my question is, whether this is also happening on other models (I know that it works correctly on Touch and Glo). ![]() Markismus reported that on H2O koreader is being displayed upside down. If you are a HD/H2O owner and would like to help improve the script, please consider running this test.Īnother problem concerns switching between nickel/koreader and koreader/nickel.(Edit: This script is now included in KBStartMenu_06_update01b.zip, which you can find here.) kobo/kbmenu/onstart/poweroff.sh by the old script (which I re-upload in this post) to get rid of the problem. If you are not interested in displaying the KSM power-off screen when powering off from nickel, you can replace. My attempt to solve this problem unfortunately caused the power-off screen on HD/H2O (and maybe Aura) to be turned when powering off from KSM. But with the exception of the Kobo Touch, all devices showed the screen upside down, if powerd down from nickel (I did not document this very emphatically and do not think many people used this option anyway). There has always been the option to display the KSM power-off screen also when powering down from nickel. The reason for this is that I tried to improve the script. The poweroff screen is displayed upside down on Aura HD, Aura H2O, and maybe Aura. I want to thank all who posted to try to help me in my hour(s!) of frustration. One of those things that currently (KSM 06) do not work correctly is the poweroff script. ![]() Nothing is worth the stress I was feeling over this stupid PC-now if I can get the NIC to work and test the PSU (likely replace it, too), there will again be peace in the valley. Sooooooooo.I am going to get a used NIC off of Ebay, like an Intel PRO, and then move forward. (Imagine a smiley here, pullin' out it's hair!) Then the next time, video is ok but the NIC won't work. I am tempted to put in a used NIC card and go from there-less headache and CHEAP! Then the next time it boots up, there is no video. This means I can't change the Windows key either. All I can get is a local connection-no internet. I have tried Microsoft's version and Nvidia's most recent version. Now that the OS is installed, I can't get the driver for the Nvidia Ethernet Controller to work. I am starting to think that I have a bad power supply as well. ![]() FINALLY, it took and it is still flakey at bootups. Now, I have tried to do this several times and it would BSOD me. I have NEVER had this much trouble fixing a PC in my LIFE! Grrrrr! OK.I installed a Dell copy of Vista Home Premium on this system. Here is what I decided to do, and my tale of how that isn't working out so well, either. Here is what I found:Įverything seems to be in order, yet it will not let me run the recovery disks. When I ran the Phoenix-Award DMI utility, I chose 1 to see exactly what it was detecting. The Build ID is 74nav3pra1 and it matches the bottom of the machine, as well as the system recovery disks. The Product number for this unit is GN556aa Here is some info on the BIOS from the setup screen: Can anyone offer some direction so I can get this system running? I am SO stuck!! Yet, I still get the message "This PC is not supported by these disks." when I try to use the system recovery disks. I have ran the Phoenix-Award DMI utility, by using an IDE DVDRW, and saw no errors when I picked option 2. I have ran the HDD DMI took successfully and the information is on the hard drive.
